 JANEANE GAROFALO--BABYHATER
This self-serving member of the 'Celeb Seven' actively enabled Saddam Hussein and offered encouragement to those who sought to kill our troops, and Iraqi children

Besides Janeane Garofalo, who else is a foolish, self-serving Celeb Seven babyhater?

(Click on your Fool of Choice for specifics.  Click here to get back to the "Babyhater Main Page.")

[Bulletin:  Garofalo has just confirmed that her 'protest publicity' was a great career move.  She told the Washington Post after the liberation that her anti-war stance had been a "positive" experience that had helped her career. "Before this I was a moderately well-known character actress," she told the paper. "Now, I'm almost famous."  Too bad people had to die for Garofalo's publicity stunt.]

Prior to the liberation of Iraq, Garofalo, stating that Saddam was the "victim of American aggression," promoted anti-war marches, one of which featured a huge sign which read:  “We Support Our Troops—When They Shoot Their Officers” (Pictured below).

When questioned about this sign, Garofalo did not apologize.  In fact, Garofalo denied it even existed, stating that:  "You're [the conservative interviewer] going to use it over and over whether it actually existed or not. That's what all you right-wing radio hosts do. You make s**t up all the time."

I wonder if Garofalo is celebrating the one American soldier who did just what that sign suggested, he tossed the grenades into the tents of his officers, killing and wounding several of them (101st Airborne).  In my opinion, Garofalo and her ilk are very closely connected, if not directly responsible, for acts such as that, not to mention the aid and comfort she provided to Saddam Hussein, and the demoralizing effect upon our own troops.

Also prior to the liberation of Iraq, Garofalo reportedly helped take out an ad supporting Saddam, stating that up to a half-million people could be killed or wounded if the U.S. invaded Iraq.

Quite recent casualty figures indicate that the liberation has cost the lives of 131 coalition troops, with 11 missing (While that is a sizeable number, just remember that Russian President Putin lost more than twice that liberating a concert hall.).  Iraq says nearly 600 civilians have been killed, but experts on the scene suggest well under a hundred civilians may have died, some of whom were likely killed by their own Iraqi military.  Reuters reports that there have been about 2,320 casualties among the Iraqi military.   While those represent a lot of tragic deaths, they are still a far cry from the 500,000 predicted by Military Expert Garofalo—she missed it by about 497,000.

When asked by Bill O’Reilly (prior to the liberation of Iraq) what she would do if her estimates were wrong, she said that if she were wrong, she would go to the White House in person, bring President Bush flowers and a fruitcake, and apologize.  To date, there has been no apology coming from Miss Garofalo, and no flowers or fruitcake either.  She is either a character-challenged liar, too stupid to recognize her error, or else she was never actually concerned about the matter to begin with (i.e., she was simply after the publicity, no matter how many people she hurt, or caused to be killed).

Contrast Garofalo's unforgivable  behavior with the performance of the brave troops who served.  Many of them were asked by the imbedded reporters what they thought of the protest sign, and the protesters, and the troops commented on how troubling it was to them and their fellow troops, but that they would continue fighting to defend those protesters' right to protest.  I wept when I heard them say that.  I then wondered what was going through the mind of Garofalo at that time.  ...Probably nothing.

Here are some interesting things published about Garofalo--see if you think they qualify her for voter nullification:

  • Hated college, but did graduate

  • Known as a self-hater (“If I don’t have my self-loathing, what do I have?”)

  • Owns her own production company called “I Hate Myself Productions”

  • Received treatment for alcoholism, but isn't sure she is a real alcoholic

  • Likes as much publicity as possible

  • Reportedly has trouble getting jobs because she is disliked by her peers

  • Does not want to get married, but wants to adopt 2 or 3 girls

  • Has many tattoos, including 4 green stars around her navel, Egyptian runes on her left arm, peace sign on her ankle, and a star on her calf.

  • Signed on as a correspondent on Michael Moore's news magazine TV Nation

  • Known as a “Generation X Comedian”

  • Also known as a paragon of cynicism

  • She adamantly declares she has sold out

  • Claims she has long battled obesity, but says she has finally come to terms with it

I cannot even watch an old movie with her in it.

Why I Label the Celeb Seven 'Babyhaters'

They are self-serving babyhaters because these celebrities have jumped on the pro-Saddam voter nullification bandwagon in order to promote their careers.  Let me explain.

It has long been said that 'there's no such thing as bad publicity'; that 'any publicity is good publicity.'  At least, that's the way it’s always been.  Behavior that would ruin the average person's reputation is like money in the bank for an attention-starved celebrity.

It was that way for Zsa Zsa.  Had your sister married (and divorced) all those men, the neighbors would talk, and she’d probably get fired.  Even punching a cop in the nose didn’t hurt Zsa Zsa.  Elizabeth Taylor said “I do” how many times?  The same is true of Joan Crawford, and many other Hollywood women.

It was not such a good thing for Hollywood men to marry and divorce, so they chose other fan-satisfying usually bad habits.  Dean Martin always had a drink in his hand.  Frank a cigarette.  Sammy sported his trademark long furs, and, of course, a cigarette.

There were some who had such overwhelming personalities that they actually ran away from publicity.  Consider Marlin Brando, James Dean and Elvis in this group.  I could be wrong, but I doubt that any one of these guys ever read a magazine or paper to see if they’d made it.   Then there were a few male stars able to do admirable things well and often enough to garner significant press.  Bob spent more time with the troops than he did on the silver screen.   And there were “Jerry’s kids,” and Dick’s beauty contests.

Aside from icons such as the group above, most of the successful old timers did their things, and got their publicity.  For the most part, as long as the press spelled their names right, all was cool.   As long as they were able to get their faces and names in print, it was almost as good as a marquis feature.  It is not that way anymore.

The old way doesn’t work anymore.  Today a diva can marry 20 men and 10 women, and she still won't make the cover any magazine.  Nor would she be featured on CNN.

Today the stars have their so-called causes, and their radical politics; but the purpose is the same—publicity.

...And while there are many more celebrities who have chosen to promote their names via this route, the ones featured on these pages are the ones whose efforts at self-aggrandizement are the most egregious.  They are the ones who have taken the most active roles in propping up the murdering dictator, and have thereby been responsible for additional torture, murder, and  treachery.  It is clear that had these American celebrities not so actively supported Saddam in his murderous rule, he would most likely have stepped down much earlier, and saved countless Iraqi lives, as well as the lives of our brave service men and women.  Their behavior has been unforgivable, and thinking American citizens should not let them off the hook.

Most of these Celeb Seven babyhaters are entertainers; all are in the industry.  I recommend that Americans boycott all artistic productions which include the participation of these individuals.  They are responsible for some of what Saddam was able to get away with, and we must not allow their self-serving efforts to succeed.

Saddam Hussein Intimidates even CNN

Saddam Hussein and his regime are butchers.  They would maim and kill for the fun of it.  In many ways, they were even more cruel than was Hitler and his SS.  Even CNN (not exactly the bastion of conservatism) has recently admitted that they were scared to death to publish the truth; they feared for their lives.  This is what Eason Jordan (CNN chief news executive) recently had to say about Saddam and CNN's fears with regard to that dictator:

" I came to know several Iraqi officials well enough that they confided in me that Saddam Hussein was a maniac who had to be removed. One Foreign Ministry officer told me of a colleague who, finding out his brother had been executed by the regime, was forced, as a test of loyalty, to write a letter of congratulations on the act to Saddam Hussein. An aide to Uday once told me why he had no front teeth: henchmen had ripped them out with pliers and told him never to wear dentures, so he would always remember the price to be paid for upsetting his boss. Again, we could not broadcast anything these men said to us."  (Click here for the full text of this article.)

These problems have long been known.  Anyone who has taken the time to read anything written on the subject in any major newspaper has to know that Saddam was a babyhater, and a torturer.

Voter Nullification

Whenever a US citizen takes to the street to protest, or incites others to protest, that person is engaged in 'voter nullification,' and thereby opens himself/herself up to as much scrutiny as the public deems necessary.

What do I mean by 'voter nullification'?  With our form of government, a democratic republic, public policy (and law) is established by our elected officials on the basis of our Constitution.   Those who protest the laws of our land, or public policy, have decided that the acts of our duly elected officials must be abrogated solely on the basis of their (the protestors') view of how things ought to be done.  We (you and I) elected those officials, and we have a right and an obligation to carefully scrutinize the motivations and qualifications of those who seek to take the law into their own hands.  Such is the case with the Celeb Seven.  All seven of these celebrities have actively protested against our elected government (in favor of Saddam Hussein), or have at least incited others to protest.  It is incumbent upon you and me not to allow these protestors to change public policy without questioning their behavior, qualifications, and motivations.

The proof that Saddam worked with bin Laden (The Spectator)
By Inigo Gilmore
(Filed: 27/04/2003)

"Iraqi intelligence documents discovered in Baghdad by The Telegraph have provided the first evidence of a direct link between Osama bin Laden's al-Qa'eda terrorist network and Saddam Hussein's regime.

"Papers found yesterday in the bombed headquarters of the Mukhabarat, Iraq's intelligence service, reveal that an al-Qa'eda envoy was invited clandestinely to Baghdad in March 1998.

"The documents show that the purpose of the meeting was to establish a relationship between Baghdad and al-Qa'eda based on their mutual hatred of America and Saudi Arabia. The meeting apparently went so well that it was extended by a week and ended with arrangements being discussed for bin Laden to visit Baghdad."  Click here for full text.
